Hi, I have been collecting Chap Mei vehicles since around 2001, and when I saw that Excite was re-releasing some of the classic vehicles in US Army colors at Toy Fair 2014, this set was the one I really wanted to find. It finally showed up on Amazon for around $35, so I had to pick it up. Here is a very photo-heavy review.
This APC was first released in the US around 2003 or so and looks a lot like an M93 Fox APC. It was available in the Police Force line in blue and also the Soldier Force line in a brown/silver color (that was pretty ugly.) Most US releases I saw had no light/sound effects.
What Excite did for this US Army line is to take the exact same mold in olive green, and have black instead of silver details, which looks very good. They also included the light/sound effects, which looks great.
The figures are the weakest link, they went right into the donate box. I also dug out the old Police version with some PTE SWAT figures for comparison. Enjoy!
