Was just an my Dollar General. They hadnt put any Joes out in about a month so I asked if they would be getting any more and they went and scanned them and informed me that the product was discontinued. Hopefully it will be replaced whit a new selection.

Can't say as I'm surprised. There were only the two assortments, right? And those go back a bit now.

Yeah was expecting it. Just giving a heads up in case anyone was putting it off since they could get them when ever they wanted.

I suppose it is possible that Marc Webber will do something to get Joe product back in Dollar General, but otherwise there won't be any future product there. Andrew Franks mentioned on Facebook that a third assortment was designed and would have been different characters, but that assortment never got approved for production. Supposedly one big reason is that Hasbro could no longer produce modern figures at the desired price point, even by cutting paint apps.

However, assuming that the cost was the reason for not making the third wave, I have wondered if that would make the figures good candidates for the Toys R Us line that we will hopefully get later this year.

I'd be fine if they even cut accessories out altogether, other than necessary web gear.

I probably would be too. I've got so many Marauder Inc. weapons already that I don't need the figures to include them.

I would have liked to have seen a Wave 3 of these figures, but at least there is this mock-up of repaints...




The tan Grunt homage, the Cobra Stinger Driver, and the Cobra NInja-Viper would have been definite army builders for sure.

I might have gotten a few Night Creepers too.

I think the gray Shipwreck would have worked better with black pants, IMHO.

The red Cobra Commander might have gotten a head swap, to make either some Cobra Siegie Immortals or some other type of Siegie Commander.

I've never seen that before, so whether it was a Hasbro idea, or fan idea, it doesn't really matter at this point...but that would have been an awesome wave for the most part. The SE repaint is kind of genius to me.

I like the Night Creeper and the Stinger Driver. The rest -- at the price point, I'd've likely gotten them, but not really outstanding.

If The Club produced this 3rd wave, as is with similar packaging, paint apps and accessories to the first 2 waves, but at a slightly higher price point (it is The Club after all), say in the $10-12 range would you buy them?
