Who needs when you have the new and improved ?

After Blue Ninja Cyborgs , and this doesn't seem like much of a leap considering we passed "wtf?" a while ago.

They did announce that it would happen.
Shock value or poor writing?

Glad to see you guys are as worked up as I am about this.

And I dunno, they could bring him back, but he seems pretty to me.

Why is Kamakura named Throwdown?

Didn't he die in Camper's "Death of a Friend" a long time ago?

Here's the scene, if you are curious
https://scans-daily.dreamwidth.org/5251103.html

So, basically,

....yeah. And has the dialogue always been that terrible? I hardly expect Faulkner, but that seems like a group of martian scientists tried to come up with their best guess as to what earthanoid speech patterns sound like.

So... He puts the mask on his freshly burnt face? What kind of an idiot would do that?

The same kind who names himself Throwdown. I have a feeling new Snake Eyes always smells of Axe body spray. I hereby dub him Bro Eyes.

Also, holy crap what a jackass...

:stalker:"Oh no! Our friend of several decades just died a horrible death!"

 "Well, he's been dead for several seconds now, so I'm going to put on his old clothes right in front of you and assume his identity. That cool, guys?....Guys?"

Edit: Also, just noticed something. In the panel when SE catches the grenade and rushes Serpentor (again, YOU DID NOT HAVE TO DO THAT), Serpentor's speech bubble is pointed toward Snake Eyes. You know, the guy whose whole thing is he can't talk. Maybe they're just trying to capture the essence of Hasbro's quality control in comic form.

Maybe with the popularity of Deadpool, they'll make this new Snake a wise cracking guy...

Roadblock gave Sean his codename. And I'm guessing Hama wanted to stay away from Kamakura since Sean hadnt appeared in his continuity since Marvel #155 until maybe 5 issues ago.

Honestly the IDW series has been solid so far, not on par with Special Missions or anything, but on par with most of the Marvel run, and has had some genuinely great bits too.

This issue however, well, it burned a lot of my goodwill towards the book.
