It's only 5poa, but the design and detail are superb, and it's cheap enough for bashin' to proper artic for me; so I think I'm in.

If they have to do 5poa figures, it'd be nice if Funko would at least achieve this figure's level of detail.

Funded in just one day, and has almost $1,500 additional over the funding level, already.

Yeah, considering Mr Collora's resume, I'm interested in what he's got in mind for stretch goals.

technically its only 4poa isn't it?
what I like is the fact that its only 1 figure, I sort of wish more of these kickstarters would do a figure at a time. dropping $20 doesn't seem so bad.
I have had so many arguments with the fans of the reaction line, I complain about the detail and they give me the same old you don't understand the point of the line comment that makes my blood boil.

I completely agree. I love the Alien figures because the sculpts are great; the other stuff I want to like, but the proportions are not right. They all have weird, big faces and super skinny legs.

What's stupid about that argument is that Kenner never intended to make poorly-detailed figures, and never made poorly-proportioned figures. The first SW movie's figures were bad simply because they were the first figures in that format, ever. But Takara had been doing MicroMan figures for several years by that point and their heads were much better sculpted. And head-sculpting had a quantum leap in detail by the very next year when Mego put out the first Trek movie figures and then the Buck Rogers figures.

And *nobody* preferred the ANH figures over ESB and RotJ figures because of the poorer detail of the ANHs. Funko is simply exploiting fans of under-served properties by giving them an imaginary nostalgia for crap so they can make money for little work, imho.

If everything looked like Aliens and Monsters line, then I would like it. Of course, these were not sculpted by them.

its the same argument I kept using to them, yes its suppose to be kenner style but kenner didn't look that bad and the ROTJ sculpts were mostly superb. I literally cannot grasp the concept of WANTING figures to purposefully have no likeness at all.

This is hideous and pointless. I'm all for people liking what they like, but people crap all over Hasbro for their 5poa Star Wars stuff, but blow way more money on these "collector" lines that aren't collector friendly at all. I just don't get it.

The difference is that this is the best one man with no pocket change can do, while 5poa is the worst a multi-thousand employee with a multi-billion revenue stream can do. With one, we're trying to support the little guy in hopes of him doing better in the future while the other is a bunch of overpaid executives ripping us off by doing less than they're able.

And, like I said up top, I'm getting him for bashin' fodder.

I understand the 5 poa Star Wars after talking to a parent. Parts stay on, price is lower, just as playable for kids. Plus, those aren't your only option.

But, if you are going 5 poa, then the sculpting must be great. This Kickstarter looks good; Funko's does not.
