At the end of January I contacted a very talented sculptor in Krexx to commission some new O-Ring parts. I thought long and hard about what I wanted to commission and finally decided on the Image style Storm Shadow.
I sent Krexx some images of the Storm Shadow I wanted and he went to work. I just received a picture of the finished head with images of the torso and waist to follow.
I decided a few months ago that I was tired of the same old reused parts issued by Hasbro, These parts were not even in the O -Ring style I prefer so I decided to take matters into my own hands and create the stuff I wanted with the help of Krexx's expert sculpting talent.
My future O- Ring projects are to include a khaki shirted Kwinn, Pythona, Zanya, Dr.Venom and Cool Breeze. I also plan on some ball necked versions of the early run of Joes to include Major Bludd.Firefly and Storm Shadow among others. last but not least is better, more accurate versions of the October Guard.
For me it feels good to be excited about GI Joes again even if its stuff I commissioned instead of being made by Hasbro.
