Well, there's a Men's Wearhouse ad I'd like to see... But you're right. If this was a prototype, then they'd just test the clothing patterns with whatever material was conveniently on hand. Same way they test the molds by using whatever color plastic is readily available -- which likely explains that pinkish-purple Firefly I saw on eBay one time... |

Very cool. I have a 12" Joe that I think came from the original seller of that Destro (not the same as the current seller). The finished version is the modern USMC tropical digital camo pattern, mine is a funky red paisley pattern. It even has the GI Joe and USMC name badges applied. Strangest thing, and I assume this is true for that Destro, the figure stinks like an old garage. |
