definitely expensive. and once its together you cant really enjoy all of that inside. |

Just slide the cardboard panels aside to get to the innards. The cap of the elevator is the sticky wicket, tho. You have to both accomodate it/them to set the T-Drome on top, plus ideally you'd want to slide a DS slice out to get at each wedge's sides for maximal play. |

Those old Kenner Death Star sets aren't the sturdiest, I wouldn't put anything on top of them, even if it was nine of them supporting the weight. |

As someone who is into using alternative building materials for toy construction i find this REALLY cool.... and see how it could be improved. |

I had two of those DS playsets as a kid, and cobra was perpetually in a Master Terror Drome construction project. Never completed due to budget. (Never dreamed of actually getting more of those to complete a circle.) BTW If you take the legs off on the old Kenner Star Destroyer playset, it fits perfectly on top of the DS playset. |
