Didn't see a thread for general playsets... I picked up the latest set of Gotham figures for their backgrounds. They remind me why I dislike larger scale figures. Either way I like the backgrounds. VHACK for 1:18 scale Bookshelf Dumpster and alleyway Arkham Gate |

Could that bookcase be scanned into a computer and turned into a background by someone like J_man? |

You realize it's a 3D piece, right? You'd be better off scanning an image of a more detailed 2D print if that was the goal. Devolving a 3D piece of plastic into a flat background seems not very productive |

Went to Amazon and found prior waves that include a fire escape (Selina) and a fireplace as well (Alfred). The bookcase comes with the young bruce figure, which isn't in stock at amazon. But if price is right I may need multiples of that. |

Much better detail than the 3d piece if you don't care about the depth. https://www.google.com/search?q=bookcas ... 88&bih=560 |

And those Gotham backdrops are nice. Never paid much attention to them. The first few waves of Marvel Legends had some nice 3D dio bases. They were generally underscaled for Legends though, which makes them very nice for Joe sized stuff. http://d2ydh70d4b5xgv.cloudfront.net/im ... b31f1a.jpg http://www.oafe.net/yo/art/ml4_pun3.jpg No idea what they go for though. |

What if there were bookshelves with individual books? Not saying I'm going to make that, haha, just curious if that would be something good for a 3D dio. Thinking in terms of the Japanese sets that has all the individual pieces and very intricate. But yeah going along the lines of making dio parts, I could see doing 3D printed bookshelves with the books already there. To help from the tediousness of painting each book, there could be sticker sets that laid across them with all the detailing. It's also allow for various books to be on a sticker sheet. Kind of drifting from the original topic though, but still I could see it being pretty neat. There's already people making dumpsters that look nice. It's slowly becoming a secondary market for prop pieces. |
