I purchased a Funskool Budo from a member on Yo Joe the other week, and I noticed he has a copyright date of 2009 on the package. I recall a very minor resurgence of Funskool figures in 2009 when Rise of Cobra came out, and this figure has a manufacture date of June 2010. Is it possible Funskool still has some of these molds and would be willing to do a new run of figures? I sent them an email because hey, why not. Here's hoping I get a response.

It's very possible that Funskool still has some molds. There were estimates that even after Hasbro got the preferred molds back 2003 and 2004 that they still had nearly 100 figures available.

Back in the day, if you would fund a small production run yourself, you could have a run of any figure they had available to them. But, that was when they were making them full time. Now, I doubt you'd get much traction unless you threw some pretty impressive production numbers at them and had a retail partner to back it up. And, even then, it could likely still get killed due to the licensing agreement or expiration thereof.
