First from Darth Daddy on twitter Disney theme parks are adding protocol droids to the Build A Droid line.

Then jedibusiness.com reported from the same panel that they are adding a 3.75" Sandcrawler playset, only shown in silhouette at the moment.

Well I know what my son will want for Christmas.

This should all be out by JoeCon! They also showed the new holiday R2 units, a Halloween themed one and a Christmas one. So far pretty cool. Also like the new 12" female figures Hasbro is doing.

Are the Protocol droids gonna be available at Orlando, too? If so I'm totally bribing my coworker to get me some next time she goes.

Going by the size of that Gonk, the Sandcrawler is going to be pretty beefy. Not surprising though, since the Star Tours ship was pretty large too. Wonder if it'll cost $200.

So the Sandcrawler will only be available at Disney parks?

The protocol droids will be all parks. Figure the same for the crawler. Read on one Disney board that the protocol droids will drop this weekend at the Star Wars night thing at Hollywood Studios. By end of month they should be at both World and Land, also at the Downtown Disney/Disney Springs stores.

Power Droids are roughly the same height, or even shorter than, most Jawas.
Do we know if this is actually a new vehicle or is it just a rerelease / repaint of the OTC/ vintage radio controlled Sandcrawler?

Disney has been using their own molds (not Hasbro's) for BAD's and the Star Tours vehicles, so it's seem likely that the Sandcrawler will be a new creation by them.

This was exciting. But, the $15-$18 price point being hinted at pretty much derails all but long time personal favorites and kind of takes my kids out of the equation as a target audience for them. Still, will be nice to have articulation back. This news ended any desire for the remaining Rogue One figures I didn't have as surely Chirrut, Baze and even Raddus would be likely targets for the new line.

When I was in third grade, I got C3P0 for 1.77.

now they're 17.77.

decimal points killed this hobby.

Aren't those 6" figures?
I saw Luke from the Black Series on a vintage style card at Walmart yesterday.

Yes/No. Yes, the 6" Black series is getting the vintage style cardback treatment right now. Gamestop R5 was the first and the rest will be released as part of the 40th Anniversary line.

However, on top of the 6" line, Hasbro confirmed the return of the 3.75" vintage line and it will no longer be a Walmart exclusive.
