I have only a passing knowledge of the various comic book storylines for GI Joe. Today, I was reading through a Wiki about Croc Master, and was surprised often he ends up dead in the various series. It just so happened this coincided with me pondering a new “Cobra Island” dio I want to build – a Cabo San Lucas-meets-old Port Royal (the Caribbean pirate den). The idea being some old Cobras get tired of all the “conquer the world” BS and internal Cobra drama, and run off to start their own island “paradise” where the disreputable of the world can go to party, make some illicit deals, get vehicles repaired, or just get a tan.

So, I've decided to make Croc Master one of the founders - a guy who just wanted somewhere to hang out with his gators and crocs where the Joes won't keep killing them. But, he needs two others to go with him. I'm leaning towards Major Bludd, since he's always seemed to be relegated to a minor role.

If you guys were to build a team of three Cobras who seem to always seems to get the shaft in the Joe Universe, who would you pick?

I think Raptor and Mindbender teaming up would be a unique and fun story. A former accountant and dentist, teaming up to gain some respect. "Real Snakes of Suburbia".

Really, most of the 2nd and 3rd tier guys have little to no story: Big Boa, Cesspool, Scrap Iron, Wild Weasel, Interrogator, Skycreeper, etc.

I'd need a better definition of "respect" as the word is being used here but at a glance what he said ^

Personally i cringe when i see Dojo from the ninja force lineup (i cringe when i see most of the Ninja force).

"Respect" is something pretty much lacking with all Cobras, both in the comics and the tv cartoon. What I was shooting for is not what characters are ignored from a character development standpoint, but from those who usually are the butt of the jokes when their story has been told. Again, Croc Master - whenever he shows up in the comics, they kill him. He's just cartoon cannon fodder. And, I do like the thought of Zandar - the less cool, dorky brother of Zartan.
