The club Facebook page has been showing previews of their FSS 6.0 figure samples from China. does seeing the actual figures change your mind about liking them or not liking them?

Subzero is comically fat, Dojo is too skinny, Blocker's head has too small a face for Rampart's goggles, and WORMS has no neck while the rest is a nice try but it misses.

Jeffries and Skip are good at least.

I'm so disappointed these are the only Joe products on offer these days. Toy lines have limitations, I get it. Especially collector lines with lower production numbers. And I can accept some undesirable elements but not ALL of these at once:

    Expensive cost per figure.

    All or nothing availability.

    Limited window of availability.

    Secondary and tertiary character selection.

Poor part selection / "lazy" builds (we have this military dress jacket tooling so let's use it even though it's obviously way too big for the WORMS build we did)

If these were even $15 per figure, I'd happily snap them up for fodder or "fixer-upper" figures.

If these were spot on depictions of the characters with parts that worked well together for the builds, I could justify a higher price point.

If I could individually assess each on a case by case basis without paying secondary market prices, I'd be way more likely to get some of these.

When Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull came out, a reviewer dubbed it as a "joyless obligation" movie. I love that phrase. It sums up so much of the "fan" experience these days. I'm just as guilty as the next Joe fan of spending money on something just because it's there. But it really feels like the Club is just trying to milk every last drop out of their access to the Joe property while they can, and offering really underwhelming product while they do it because they know they're pretty much all Joe collectors have left at this point.

Feel free to print this out and read it to me LOUDLY while we wait in the con exclusive line next summer.

I see this come up a lot. I don't understand the complaint. What other characters are left to do than those???

Worms definitely needed different arms.
Ghost Rider is all sorts of wrong parts.

That's not an issue by itself, like the other points. I'm all for offering a wide array of characters. And I know everyone has their favorites. But a lot of these characters weren't done sooner because they aren't as interesting visually or have never been fleshed out beyond a single file card. My only point there is when you do a figure like that, it HAS to be well designed. That's all its got going for it at that point, being a good action figure. Otherwise it's just there to fill a gap in a roster that's never going to get "completed" anyway.

I never waste my time with these because of the lack of Duke and Snake Eyes. It just isn't GI Joe without multiple versions of Duke and Snake Eyes in it.

*ducks*

Personally, I applaud the Club for doing this. They're providing modern-style figures of classic characters that Hasbro likely NEVER would've gotten around to even if their retail line had continued to some degree.

Does GhostRider have an actual cloth scarf like the original? It's a little hard to tell from the photo. If so -- hey, nice touch!

My point wasn't that the Club shouldn't do those characters...

It was that when they're doing those characters poorly, they've got nothing going for them other than completistism (is that a word)?

Mine arrived on Monday. Pleased with one figure and really pleasantly surprised with the other. 2 for 2 so far.

Third shipment is arriving. Definitely going to need a couple more of one figure.
