Hello everyone. I wanted to share a new product I created with the help of some friends. Its goal is to be a modular base building system. I started my foundation wave with a wall and floor set, with two color choices. Each piece has a design on both sides.
There are several different connector pieces that will help you customize the way you build your base. Each panel is ruffly 6"x6" and geared towards 1/18th scale figures.
The initial offerings are small but you have to start somewhere. I have wave two already being designed. Some of the plans include a catwalk, two new walls and accessories to plug into the current offerings.

You can currently pre-order wave 1 through smalljoes.com and there is a promotion running through March 10th for a set including a set of 8 walls and 8 floor sets (2 floors per box), for $250.

Is this something manufactured in a factory, or are you casting these yourself in house?

Manufactured. He had some prototypes he was letting us mess with at Assembly Required. Very cool.

Correct, these have already been tooled and when the factory gets back from New Years we will do the full production run.

Wave 2 I hope to have out by the end of the year. I've learned a lot about the production process and I feel I can get things sped up on the second round.

The wall package has a single wall, 2 different panels that connect in the doorway. It also has 2 connectors.

The floor package comes with 4 different type of connectors and 2 floor panels.

So the builders package will come with 8 walls and 16 floors plus the connectors.

So, if we buy one of each to sample them we could build a 2-sided dio of a floor and wall/doorway backdrop?

That is correct. This structure is about 1' tall 1' deep and 1.5' long. Some of the computer panels are missing.

Correct. We are working on a video right now so people can get a clearer picture.

About $1500... :rolleyes:

It's an intriguing concept, although the price point might deter the more frugal customizer.

Be interesting to see different designs and textures in follow up waves.
