They're doing a whole line based on the old Kenner figures but in 4" scale. How am I nostalgic for stuff I never owned or cared about when it came around the first time? I think it appeals to the "this sort of thing is they type of project I love seeing customizers do, I guess it's pretty cool we're seeing toy companies tackle similar concepts." Like the NECA Aliens figures based on the Kenner run. |

DanOfTheDead wrote: How am I nostalgic for stuff I never owned or cared about when it came around the first time? I had the same reaction: I neither owned nor wanted those Kenner Jurassic Park figures as a kid. But the designs for some of the figures are actually kind of cool: Older Me likes the fact that they got creative with the costumes instead of just replicating the movie outfits. And all the goofy stuff that turned me off about the line as a kid is kind of charming now: Ian Malcolm flying a glider is something I want more of, not less. |

Thought my dino-purchasing days were over, since I finally got some sauropods after about 50+ years of waiting. Because I had way too many T-Rexes, Raptors, etc. Then I saw the Hammond Collection T-Rex on sale at Target for $35. Holy $#!@balls, that thing is amazing ![]() |

I guess the good thing about there being so little I'm interested in collecting these days that when one comes along that's more than I'd usually pay, I can "splurge" and snag it. Also taking one for the team and ordering to ensure they magically show up at Ross etc in a few weeks for 1/6th the price. |

I'm actually a bit more impressed than I thought I'd be, and Mr. DNA is great. I also managed to grab a Lost World Sarah Harding and Stegosaurus pack for $12. |
