Is there a resource out there somewhere that lists the various sources that 'influenced' some of the GI Joe characters, for example, Road Pig and Thrasher are both pretty strongly influenced by Mad Max's Wez. I know Tunnel Rat was made to look like Larry Hama, Law looks like Kirk Bozigian, etc. but is there a thorough list of all these various influences, real or fictional?

Recoil always reminded me of Poncho from Predator (I still think they were going for the pushed-down hat look he wore with Recoils helmet thing), but I don't have anything to base that off of beyond thinking the two looked alike the first time I saw them both. I think it would be interesting to have an exhaustive list of this sort of stuff.

Cool, thanks. I'll have to check it out. I know not every single figure was based off of some person or character, but I bet more of them were than the average fan realizes.

I wish there was a list.

There's the 30th Anniversary Recondo and Spirit that are obviously Predator inspired.
