Hopefully this comes up alright on the site, if not I included the link.

I noticed this awesome original art created for a "bicycle frame bar pad" made in 1982. What's interesting is the character on the box art seems to have a lot of similarities to the original 13 Joes (especially with a green that's really similar to what they looked like in the comics), with some modifications, like the water bottle attached to the belt and the boots that feel a little Star Wars-esque. I'd even say the helmet feels a little bit like the Steel Brigade helmets, but sort of "kitbashed" with the classic OG 13 helmet.

I figured if anyone knew more about this item, odds are it'd be someone here, but if anyone has ever created a custom of this guy, it'd definitely be here. I remember the Battle Luge Guy got Chadmatted a while back, and this is a little similar. :whistling:

I thought you made it as art :) still on 1st cup of coffee here. what stands out to me is how the art masks the bar pad, it took me a few to find it in the pic. I know bike accessories were huge in the 80's and pads, reflectors , name plates were everywhere. he looks like snake eyes in green with a helmet on. I have a lbc wip on a bike right now with a starwars helmet on maybe i'll try the combo out.

And I swear Oreobuilder made one, too, but I can't find it.

Red Laser made a version called, 'Kickstart', which appears to be sold out now.

A few years back I was peruding yojoe.com and found that artwork. Several customizers have made their own version. I think Zombieguide has a cool version. I created my own version of a 'Motorcycle Recon' guy named, 'End Run'. Should be somewhere in the Hero Machine thread.

It reminds me of some of the vehicle drivers we got during the movie years and beyond like Night Fox, Kick Start, especially Sandstorm from the ROC RAM cycle.

ZombieGuide and Dream were the first ones that I knew of to really push the Kick-Stop character. ZombieGuide had made the custom and Dream had made the packaging art with the codename for his portfolio.

I liked the idea enough to try my hand at a version of him.
