Forgive me if someone already posted this, but I did a search and nothing popped up.Wondering if anyone knows anything about these or seen them? The company is called Joy Toy and they have lines titled SWAT, Cross Fire, Dark Source, & Hardcore. Looks to have 1/18 and 1/24 scale stuff.

I wasn't too fond of the Dark Source figures. They looked cool, but there were some major QC issues reported from various boards with parts breaking and paint chipping. I only experienced the paint issues. Plus they were short compared to Joes and Marauder figures.

But with their military line, there's huge improvement with the QC issues from the Dark Source line and the figures are now taller and more sized to Joe and Marauder figures. They now include replacement joints in case breakage does occur. I have the USMC, Airborne, and Mercenary sets and love them. They still have a few issues like the weapons and holsters being slightly oversized, and the 'diaper crotch' like the first Joe 25th figures, where the figure can't sit(wich could easily be fixed if you don't mind breaking out the exacto). They're definitely cheaper if you order direct from Locker Toys vs BBTS, Small Joes, etc.

The fragility issues are indeed real in my experience; but not so much as to not get a sample of the line to see their strengths. But I always see stuff as fodder first and a 'keeper' second. While the company is still young they show strong signs of improvement and I expect the fragility issues to go away if they haven't already. I've not gotten anything since the third wave, I think they're up to five or so now.

I got a couple of the very early non-piloted mecha figures, which have me very eager for the coming blue 18th Mech. It's gonna work great alongside my Takara VariousDogs.
