I mean, look at the size of the actual missiles he's carrying. The only thing I can think of now with some imagination, is that it all rockets fit inside the launcher so he can fire them rapidly one after another. Like a portable MLRS or something. What do you think? |

It's mostly fire/smoke/vibration suppression to prevent their detection. I imagine them hiding behind a lot of stuff in battle, poking the nose-cam of said giant-ass missile launcher around the corner to lock the target then popping back behind and firing from safety. Their hi-vis uniforms are for other COBRAs to see them on 'their' side of the battle, hiding from the Joes. |

The longer the barrel the more control they would have of hitting their targets. Plus there's a lot of electronics and other stuff in there to have that high-impact high-velocity round get greater penetration. |
