I heard a rumor....

.... that Boss Fight Studio is going to be making #TheUmbrellaAcademy toys!

We're not ready to share concepts just yet, but we can tell you that first wave of toys will be Klaus, Vanya, Diego, and Cha-Cha and they're anticipated to hit shelves Q2 2021! Lots more details will come soon, but in the meantime you can learn more in our press release:

I have a bad feeling these won't be HACKS and probably won't even be 1:18.

Prior licenses that are the "right scale" have mentioned HACKS in the release. Licenses that are in different scales have been more vague so as to not stomp out interest.

Could be wrong - would like to be. Either way, good on them for getting another nice looking deal. Just not getting geeked out - yet. #scalist

With this promo pic I'm sure they'll be 18th; but I can' imagine how they can do anybody but the comics-style White Violin with the current bucks. The real issue is that I don't think the license could support full series of both show and comics figures; so the question is which style will they sink new mold costs into?

Just started rewatching season 1 last night, I'm interested to see where this goes, though mostly from a fodder interest.

The press release says the deal is with UCP the company behind the show. And the quotes in the release mention the show and the character designs from both seasons so these will be the Netflix series versions. I doubt the license extends to the comic versions as it is likely through Dark Horse or Gerard Way directly.

this is awesome news, all the way around! I'm hoping they do comic book versions as well!

but, the real hidden gem in the press release (IMHO) is the fact that they got the license, and who they got it with ... and I would guess that with a successful delivery of this IP, the connections made are the real announcement here... emphasis mine:

BAH, I want Dark Horse licenses dammit. I'll take BFS Grendel and Hellboy figures over anything in that list.

BAH, I say.

JM, that listing caught my eye also. Especially with a growing confidence in 1:18. BSG HACKS? OMG. But yeah, I won't get that far ahead of myself.

This is the first new/forthcoming figure announcement to get me excited in a long time.

Does Five mean a new adolescent buck?

That might explain why they didn’t market it under their Hero HACKS brand banner, since not every figure would be able to part swap out 100% apples to apples or fit all the customizing kit gear.

And having finished the second season this weekend, I hope we get Lila as well. Crazy broads are always good action figures.
