I'll get Iron Man. I think it is hard to really do a retro line. What year are you going for? What brand? Looking at Electro specifically, would an old figure have had a 2-part head? I doubt it, so it kind of misses the mark for feeling "retro" to me. But at the same time, if they went all in on making everything as retro as possible, people would complain that they could be better. Will these be articulated at the cuts in the arms and legs? Or is that just a convenient way to share tooling and to reduce paint? I wish they could just go the Secret Wars route, but Mattel. |

I think they look great as a overall design. And I think Cyclops and Iron Man look like nice figures. The two pack choices are weird other than Spidey/Electro. The biggest issue I have with concepts like these...why should I bother starting this line? They are maybe going to do one or two waves and that's it. So I'll just have a few random figures taking up space....although I think they would look great displayed on card. |

They look good, but yeah, 5 poa. Well, 7, looks like the hands can swivel at the top of the gloves. I like what they did for the Amazing Spiderman comic line. The figures had ball jointed shoulders, elbows and knees and simple swivel hips which is better than that garbage that they used for the Iron Man movie figures and they are still using for the new Star Wars figures. Seems like they are trying to put product out there to compete with the DC 4" figures, but they're trying to cut cost because Hasbro doesn't have faith in any of their lines anymore, so unless they take the Spinmaster's route and go all out with many characters, vehicles and a playset, this line won't get pass a second wave. Feels like the days of Super Powers and Secret Wars, the DC figures by Kenner had better articulations with bendable knees while Mattel's Marvel figures only had 5 points. EDIT: https://www.figures.com/2020/09/23/new- ... announced/ They slapped the Kenner logo on the card! Why sell them by two if each figures has it's own card? |

These are such a miss for me. It looks like they're trying to compete with ReAction but in the worst way possible. Sersiouly the best part of these is the card art. The figures are stupid at this point. Nobody was asking for this. |

Redmao wrote: Why sell them by two if each figures has it's own card? Pixel Dan did a great interview with the team behind it and I have a better appreciation of what they are going for (still not sold on actually buying them.) But the two pack concept is an homage to the Marvel Comics Presents comics (as seen on the box) which would normally pair two characters you wouldn't necessarily see together in a story. Hence Cyke/Iron Man and from an 80s perspective Cap/Black Panther. Spidey/Electro is to have a villain and specifically a villain that screams that era of comics. IF they keep this up a two-pack of Ghost Rider and Cable would be choice as that was the most interesting pairing from MCP from its heyday (albeit that was very 90s). They could maybe get me with a 70s Ghost Rider/Wolverine two pack. |

Glad that Cap & T'Challa are packed in the same box, because those are the only two I'm interested in. For reasons.... Attachment:

According to Pixel Dan, they'll be sold individually at retail. The two-packs are Pulse exclusives. |
