A new series of modular diorama building sets just went up for preorder at BBTS due in February 2021.

Personally I like the look and feel of these sets. For as little as $32 you can have a nice modular set with stairs, railings, catwalks, etc. They appear to be generic enough that you can use them in multiple settings and the modular nature presents some very cool possibilities. While Complex is putting out the same kind of thing, their pricepoint doesn't really cost out for me.

The only concern I have, beyond being a new company and product, is the description of being both 1:18 and 1:24 scale compatible. Some of the promo renderings show both what appear to be a 1:18 figure and the same figure at 1:24 scale on the sets. The 1:18 looks pretty decent if a teensy bit tall compared to the railings. Given companies like JoyToy have been dabbling in the 1:24 scale as well I'm concerned these sets might skew a little too small for good old-fashioned G.I. Joe use.

I've got some on preorder and I'm genuinely looking forward to getting them in hand. If the digital renders are accurate as far as detail and scale these might be the ideal diorama sets I've been looking for. Hopefully they stay on schedule and arrive on time.

good eye if they pan out. My main hesitation, like you, would be scale, because they look fantastic. And way more bang for the buck potentially than the spoon sets or the HLJ stuff.
