Has anyone seen these? Kind of an out-of-nowhere thing for me. Not necessarily my cup of tea but I'd kind of like them just to display the boxes.

I've only seen them online and almost started trying to track them down when I realized I only wanted them for the box art. All reviews of the actual minifigs and sets is that they feel and act like knock off bricks. Not to mention, I cna't remeber the last time I actually picked up one of the better Kre-o sets and did anything with it.

These are popping up all over. I have seen them at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Burlington, Big Lots, Amazing Saving and a few other discounters.

Same goes for the ripcord helicopter from the same company.

I now have all the sets available and I have to say, don't listen to others.

I bought an extra set to open and build. I recorded the build and my thoughts (I'll post it tomorrow on my YouTube channel). Anyway, with the exception of one piece that didn't want to stick well, the rest is fine. The plastic quality is solid. The parts work well together. And the minifigs are nice. They lack the visible "crotch" that Lego figures have but they are still pretty darn cool, especially given the price point. They are half the price of a Lego set with the same number of pieces. Heck the bigger sets are 75+% less than a Lego set with the same number of pieces.

The box art is fantastic. How could it not be it's the RAH artwork we all grew up with.

Overall if I had to rate them out of 10, based only on the one set I opened and built, they'd get a solid 8.

I saw those three at Five Below last Friday. Also saw that helicopter.

I passed on it. As much as I am a fan of that artwork, I need to seriously be wary of what I am buying. I don't collect building type toys, save for all the 2-pack figures I got from Dollar Tree for the visors (they fit ARAH helmets!!!).
