I mean, having visible-in-package certainly never stopped them from missing paint apps before. That should have been caught long before it got wrapped into a box. GI Joe and Star Wars have had sealed boxed items before now. I don't remember as many people whining about it until now. It's not a problem unless you pay $$ for it when you find it, only to find out it's craplastic... |

QC issue more than a packaging issue. The question is would it have been caught at the factory if it had been put into a plastic tray rather than wrapped in tissue paper? Likely not as this kind of thing happened before. Would someone have been able to see the error in the plastic package at the store? Maaaybe? Depends on where it was placed in the tray layout. Regardless, I'm less concerned about "blind" QC issues from this packaging than I am with figure swaps. But I order 99% of my stuff online so I'd be screwed with a QC paint issue regardless of the packaging (and I haven't been so far *knocks wood* ) |

If it was visible, there would have been more chances to catch it. Figure swaps are already increasing. Funny story; back when the "Hall of Heroes" figures came out, I bought a sealed case. A friend bought a sealed case, and opened it. Found out there was a double, so he was one short of a full set. I never opened my case, so as far as I'm concerned, I have a full set. pluv wrote: I mean, having visible-in-package certainly never stopped them from missing paint apps before. Perfect seal? Little scary. |
