Due to distro problems I only this week got wave 2 and most of 3 in the comic packs (with an assist from Doc Rob, thank you again)

Anyway after looking through I have some questions that I think have been asked but in searching for them I have come up empty so here goes.

Comic pack 21.5: I have read that Storm Shadow was actually Zartan. I figured this would come out in the comic, but unless I am missing something I didn't see this. but I know I have read this info from multiple places. My assumption is that most people are assuming this due to the cowl (which matches Zartans) and the bow (which looks just like the tech bow Zartan used to kill the hard master). So beyond that is there anything to back up the claim that SS is actually Zartan.

Comic pack 32.5 i believe it was spin doctor who pointed this out first, but wasn't scareface dead by this point, was there a reasonable explaination for his appearence in this comic. Also for those who actually read the comic, why was professor appeal "Transfered in shame" cause the kid hit the alarm, I didn't get that part.

Looking at the comic that came with the figures, Storm Shadow does have on this cape. So my guess is that the figures is meant to be Storm Shadow. It can also be used as Zartan if someone wants, but I don't think Hasbro intended that to be who the figure is. Most people just assumed it based off of the pictures that first came out.

The other question, I don't know. There's been talk around the net about it. I think most feel this is a story before he was killed or something like that.

To me, this is a way to tie the "Masked Assassin" Zartan to Storm Shadow, making the connection to the death of the Hard Master even better.

If this was really a Storm Shadow cloak and Zartan wore it during the assassination, he would surely be mistaken as Stormy.

Zartan is not in the issue, but I think the way for Hasbro to release the "Zartan as Storm-Shadow" figure and also release a "Silent Interlude" update was to dress Storm-Shadow in this costume for a couple of panels. He never dresses this way in the original "Silent Interlude" (Nor does he interact with Destro in Destro's surveillance room.) Fine with me.

Ok that is what I am asking, I know Zartan isn't in the issue and that Stormy wears the cloak, but what I am not getting is where people are dumping this idea of "Zartan as Storm Shadow" from.

I am begining to think its just something people said and now people are just assumeing that is what was ment.

Second to the last page in issue 27 of the Marvel run we see a ninja figure that Storm Shadow goes after when the hard master was killed. The ninja is wearing a hooded cloak as he gets away on the FANG. He just had a regular bow in that issues. Later issues bring in Zartan and the bow with the electronic gear attached. People just assumed this was Zartan when the figure was first shown (like I was saying in my earlier post). When the figure set came out people just kept saying it was Zartan out of either deciding that's who they wanted to say the figure was in their collection, or people saying it previously drilled the idea in their head and they just still say it's Zartan. The figure in the comic 2-pack is Storm Shadow though, but you can say he is who you want him to be.

Zartan was dressed up like Stormy when he killed the Hard Master, but also wore the cloak. This issue now shows Stormy with the cloak. So the figure could be used as Stormy as seen in this issure or Zartan framing him for the murder.

I don't think anyone thinks it's Zartan in the issue.

Don;t recall saying that either. In fact:

I said exactly what has been repeated in the responces, which gets to me a bit since it has nothing to do with my actual question of where the assumption came from (even if it is just confirming my assumption that I first made).

Just forget it, people made an assumption I get it.

Since I am one of those people who refuse to call the comic pack figure "Storm Shadow"...

Marvel Issue 45:

Marvel Issue 84:

Marvel Issue 126:

I believe the "retcon" in issue 21.5 was just Hasbro's way of justifying the inclusion of the figure in that particular pack.

I think the answer to why people think it's Zartan is the sound amplification on the bow. It is presumed Storm Shadow wouldn't have needed it? Is that right?
