I like that Snake-Eyes more and more every time I see a new picture. I wish I had any purpose for it at all . . .

And I find it interesting that what are mostly likely production pics still have Duke with the original crotch. Now to just find wave 6 before every waking moment is consumed by Viper searching.

Damn I wish they would fix that Duke mold. GRRRRRR...

Why does Spirit look like a puppy who just got smacked with a rolled up newspaper?
He's going to need some new eyebrows!
Snake Eyes is amazing!

Wow, I thought Duke's hips were fixed in the prototype shots. Too bad, because that may be my favorite Duke cardart ever!

The textureing on Spirit's backpack is great too.

They'd better pack in a LOT of Vipers...

In the all geared up pic for Spirit, does it look like his head's a smaller diameter above the headband, when at that point it should be the same both top and bottom?

Other than that, I like a lot about these figures. New card artwork for Wild Bill and Hiss Driver, and Snakes' pack has a loop! For his Uzi hook.

In some pics, Spirit looks really strange, but in others he looks pretty cool. He's a definite must-have though. They really went all out with him and his accessories.

That is some nice card art for Duke. This line has done a nice job of creating new artwork that meshes very well with the reuse of the original artwork. Most impressive!

I like the flag, too! :-D

Spirit's headsculpt -- YEEK! 8-O :shifty:

Are they putting out a HISS Tank? Wasn't that going to be one of the Target exclusives? I can't recall. Interesting that a HISS Driver is turning up on a single card.

And does it look to anyone else from these photos that the HISS Driver and Wild Bill are just a little too long-legged?

I hate the headsculpt on Spirit....every time I see it, I just think of this:

I'll definitely be making a custom replacement...too bad the DTC/Comic pack head is so small....

Must admit as a MOC collector, I'm a little disappointed on the placement of Freedom - covers up half of that amazing cardart. But I suppose there was nothing they could really do and placed it along the lines of Snake Eyes v2 w/Timber. Even the position of Freedom is weird cuz he's backing us!

Still dont understand the inclusion of HISS Driver as a single carded figure, but oh well. Wild Bill's card art rocks and I do like Duke's art, but again the flag covers up half of it.

Interesting wave, hope they pack 2 Vipers to each box like they did the CGs.

You must have slept through Toy Fair 2008! This is the non-Target HISS Tank. Comes with a blue driver, the single-carded release might be Rip-It or vice-versa:

Or it's a replacement for the driver you get with the Target Exclusive HISS Tank:

Okay, so I did miss that. Interesting. The HISS Driver figure in the non-Target exclusive HISS hass a coloration that is very similar to what I've seen for a recoloration of this figure (whether it would've been Rip-It or a HISS Driver I don't know) in the traditional-style format that was part of a Wal-Mart series of figures that were scrapped. This one has silver boots, however. Nice color scheme. I wonder if it will be Rip-It?

Not sure I'll pick up either of these HISS Tanks, though. We've already had the HISS in both black and blue before, although I suppose some more recent collectors might have missed out on the original 1983 black. Nice to know the molds are still around, though! :-D

I agree, in that the new art for Jetpack Duke and the Air Trooper are very good, and Red Ninja was pretty good too. IG Destro, Serpentor, Zartan...not so much.

I've been very disappointed with the touch-ups they've done for most of the original art though. Eyes at odd angles, weird expressions, washed out detail, etc.. That evil look in Firefly's eyes in his original card art? Totally gone in the 25th touch up, replaced with a blank look that does not convey the menacing intent of the character. That kind of modification takes away rather than adds-to.

For whatever reason, it appears they didn't do a thing to the single-carded V1 Storm Shadow, Destro, and Gung-Ho art, and it looks crisp and sharp as ever. They should have left ALL the original card art alone...NO TOUCH UPS. Why did they rehash the original art anyway?

Daremo, I thought that the HISS to be released with the Rip-It repaint of the HISS Driver was going to be the DTC HISS. Did Hasbro change that?

Wild Bill was at the top of my "must have" list. Then I got the Ace figure in hand (which shares the same body) and those stubby little arms just ruined any hopes of Wild Bill being a great figure.

Has anyone found a good set of replacement hands for Ace yet?

I can forgive them for messing up on Spirit, but I can't forgive them for the Viper.

I really hate the fact that Hasbro was stupid enough not correcting the Vipers hands before production. They must of been smoke a whole lot of pot that day.

Thanks to Hasbro I'll be saving $300.00 that I was going to spend on the purchasing Vipers.

I was so looking forward in getting these.

Once again Hasbro has shown that a monkey has more brains that they do when it comes to designing and marketing things.

I suppose they haven't learn their lesson since Valor vs Venon---does anyone remember button plug Duke and Storm Shadow.

No problem, that'll make it easier for me to find them. Besides, the hands look fine in the packaged sample.
