3 3/4" Club Figure - Important Note!

Got an email from the club which stated:

In order to double check our files, please log into the club website and click on the Update Account menu item in the sign post. Please complete any missing data and make sure your free membership figure selection of 3 3/4" or 12" figure is correct.

Given that when I signed up so I could go to the con in my communication I specifically made sure to note I wanted teh 3 3/4" figure. In response I got this:

I have updated your file to receive the 3 3/4" figure due to arrive late spring of 2008.

However, it's good I checked since, well, on the website I was still down for the 12" figure. :rolleyes:

You guys probably should check too.

well, i got a personal email from the club assuring that I am set for the 3 3/4 figure, yet,.. there i was listed as a 12 incher.

Im assuming when you log on to change information, it automatically reboots you,...

...this would explain why I got sent the 12 inch figure mistakenly 2 years in a row....

Hmm, it's good I checked too. I gotta call or email them. I'm listed as a "trooper". I'm a member of the club, get the newsletter, and get all the emaiuls. I got the email you mentioned too. I have no place that I can select what I prefer as my member figure.

Yes, even after getting the 3 3/4" figure for the last several years and after confirming on the phone several times with them, I checked my account today and 12" was selected. I've never puchased ANY 12" figures so everyone would be wise to check their accounts.

Me three. I had selected 3 3/4 in prior years and I just checked. 12 was set for me.

Weird, I had nothing pre-selected. I know they default to 12" so having nothing at all selected makes me feel extra special.

Yeah...same thing with me. Even though I recently renewed and know I picked 3 3/4". A lot of the stuff I had entered when I renewed was entirely wrong.

A) I bought the S6 Street Razor thingus from them, so I *know* I've got an acct with them; but I couldn't log in at all
B) so I called them, and I must be the only dude in my ZIP code as I only had to finish rattling that off to the lady before she knew who I was, and
C) she says I'm on record for the CC fig.
D) I hope whatever she was looking at is the official mailing list, tho.

When I was a member, I had the 12" show up on my doorstep. I know I didn't check that one. I just said screw it and sold it on Ebay for 70 some dollars.

When I joined and registered for the con last year I called in to make sure they got my faxed registration since it was at the last minute. I also doublechecked and asked to make sure I was set for getting the 3 3/4" figure which they said I was. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when I called to activate my on-line account (couldn't find my membership expiration date) and asked again to make sure I was down for the 3 3/4" figure to which they responded I was NOT. They said they fixed it and when I checked my account just now it was set at the 3 3/4" so I'm good. My point being they may have reset everyone at some point so that may be why you're listed as 12" when you've gotten the 3 3/4" before.

So yeah doublecheck.

I re-upped by phone; the girl verified I had the 3 3/4" figure.

In the past, I've always requested a 3 3/4 inch figure, but have always received a 12 inch figure. :-/

Why can't the club seperate out the 12 inch and 3 3/4 inch stuff? This would make things so much simplier. One membership fee, two clubs, one show. Seems simple to me.

Mine account information was correctly listed for the 3 3/4" figures.

Just kiddin'.

Of course it wasn't right. I've only been a club member and ordered the convention sets for the last four years. That's not enough time for them to figure it out.

Do you think their business could survive in a more "real world" environment that wasn't propped up by drooling fanboys such as ourselves?

Here's a question. There isn't any 12" Joe stuff right now aside from the upcoming things based on the 3 3/4" line, right? Hasbro is focusing on 3 3/4" and advertising the club on packaging. Packaging of 3 3/4" items. I don't know, but wouldn't it make sense to make 3 3/4" the default over 12" at this point?

Maybe I should start a Joe club myself. :shifty:
