Myspace Friend GI JOE has posted a confirmation on Wave 9 shipping in June.
While he may troll on these boards and goes by another name, as I said...he has been pretty accurate in the past;

"This set is said to consist of Hawk, Bazooka, BAT, Barbeque, Storm Shadow Black, Snow Serpent, Wild Bill, and Lt Torpedo!."

"Storm Shadow Black" -- they're going to get all they can out of the Storm Shadow mold, aren't they?

Guess I can't blame them. They did the same with the remake of the traditional-style mold, in what I remain convinced was an affectionate nod to the red and black Storm Shadows from South America (without actually calling one of them "Satan") 8-O

I'll be curious to see how Bazooka's "14" shirt, assuming he is wearing it, accommodates that mid-torso articulation.

For that matter, I'll be interested to see if they give the BAT a lenticular chestplate pretty much for the same reason. I suppose they could design it as a separate harness, but that wouldn't really be in keeping with the theory that the lenticular-motion chestplate was designed to show off the internal structure of the Android.

And anyone taking any bets on whether Barbecue will have a removable helmet? Just some speculations for discussion. ;-)

I would be incredibly happy if "Storm Shadow Black" turns out to be Ninja-Ku. Even more so if they use the Ninja Ku artwork like the used the Satan artwork for Red Ninja.

See, I never got that assumption. Red Ninjas were in the comics before the "satan" ninjas came out in South America.
-Issue 21 March 1984
-Cobra Satan (depending on who you ask) Sometime between 1985 and 1989

Now, is the "Storm Shadow Black" going to be 25thv1 like Ninja Ku, or 25th v2 like Ninja Force. I'm really hoping for the later.

Why is it that none of these or the walmart joes listed in another thread were shown at toyfair a couple of months back?

Several possibilities:

They had already been sold to market so Hasbro felt no need to have them at Toy Fair (and really, Hasbro and Mattel have such massive presentations these days they practically have their own semi-private Toy Fairs)

They deliberately held some items back for later release to keep the fans interested and curious (which seems to have worked)

The figures were not yet ready for display.

The B.A.T. was shown, don't forget.

As for the others, the product probably wasn't quite ready or they wanted to hold stuff off for JoeCon and SDCC... Toy Fair doesn't have the punch it used to these days. Most manufacturers have already made the purchasing decisions, and with the internet being what it is, the press isn't as big either...

Good call on the SS, and maybe, just maybe this is Hawk V2.
