I've been a fan of MMA for a long time and seen some martial arts that don't work in a real fight. Of the Joes that have extra martial arts training, besides the basic military training, who would be legit fighters?

Snake Eyes-Karate, Kung Fu, Jujitsu
Scarlett-Tae Kwon Do
Torpedo-Wu Shu, Kenpo, Go Ju Ryu
Quick Kick-Tae Kwon Do, Go Ju Ryu, Kung Fu
Budo
Link-Kung Fu
Jinx
Kamakura
Dojo-Kung Fu
Storm Shadow
Maj. Barrage-wrestling
Hard Drive-wrestling
Check Point-wrestling
Backstop-boxing, wrestling

In all honesty and IMHO, i think they all would do good in a "Hand to Hand" combat situation, other than that, it would be useless in battle with everything else.

I have always played it as Beachead being a great hand to hand combatant (since he has been put in the postion of trainer so much it makes sence) but that he masters no specific disipline.

Cap gave me the consept that Spirit uses a modified form of Native American knife fighting in hand to hand combat.

Seemed like there were quite a few who had boxing backgrounds but they escape me now.

actually lots of matial arts work in "a REAL fight"

MMA is not a real fight, it's a contest with rules. real fights don't have rules.

people eye gouge in real fights, not in mma just as an example
