Okay, old news at this point, I know, but I order my comics through a mail-order service, Westfield Comics, and the only drawback to them is that they ship monthly, and anything that doesn't show up before the shipping date gets bumped.

(I would like to add that this is the ONLY drawback to dealing with Westfield. They ship books in perfect condition, offer a discount on all titles, a flat shipping fee right to your mailbox, and your comics are packed in a VERY study corrugated box with plenty of packing peanuts. Given gas prices these days, even if I HAD a car right now, I'd still be using them. It's worth the wait. And if there's ever a problem they'll do everything they can to resolve it politely. Lot of online business could learn some good lessons in running their businesses from Westfield).

Anyway, I was giving myself eyestrain looking over the cover to America's Elite #33, the Cobra equivalent to the "all-Joe" cover a while back, and reading the key on the inside back cover. Love to know who thought it'd be a good idea to list the names in alphabetical order... But -- ROWDY RODDY PIPER!???! 8-O :-D  :rotfl:

Okay, the sketch wasn't the greatest likeness in the world, but the fact that they included him! I love it!

Frankly, I'm not sure they should've included the Red Shadows characters, but never mind. The thoroughness of this illustration when it comes to individuals -- remarkable. And fairly amusing in one respect, too...

Is there a desktop-sized version of this image somewhere? I'd love to have it on my computer.

I don't know if there's one online, but I could try to use my flatbed scanner and scan the cover and e-mail it to you, if you'd care to send me a PM with your e-mail address.

Thanks for the offer, but I found a usable image here:

Damn that's a cool picture. I'd buy that as a poster.

Yeah, that beats the heck out of me trying to scan the actual cover for you, with all of its logos, titles-- not to mention that inconvenient fold down the middle and the two staples! :-D

Glad you found that.

I was trying to find Cobra de Aco myself, and couldn't. I suspect the images were limited (if you can call it limited) to characters that have appeared in the comics.

I am sorely tempted to say WHICH funny hat but I assume you mean the guy with the top hat with the rabbit-eared skull on it. His name is Rugrat, and he's a Dreadnok. Turned up in the Frontline issue where Roadblock was running his own cooking show, one of the more bizarre stories which featured, among other things, a lactose-intolerant dog who ralphed all over Burnout, who probably had hoped for better treatment for one of his few significant comic book appearances.

No figure of him, which may be just as well. If memory further serves, he was this scrawny little freak that Hasbro would be hard-pressed to create and sell in traditional-style format, newsculpt format, 25th style format, or some entirely new format that would jump off the peg and right into your shopping cart... :-D
