Just wanted to post a heads up that the Chap Mei Dino Valley Sky Crane copter that Spectre (I think it was you!) pointed out a few months back is now on clearance at Amazon.com

The price is $12.00 which is very good for a vehicle this large and less than half what it was originally up for. With a little custom work (mostly paint) this copter is a great substitute for the classic Cobra transport copter. If you don't have one, buy it now. If you do have one, buy a couple more to customize :) Remember, shipping is free over $25.00 so keep an eye out for other clearanced sets. Amazon lists them under a company name called "Lontic".

Hey guys! I'm glad this could help a few people out. It's a great vehicle with a lot of custom potential. The real thanks have to go to Spectre who gave the heads up on this originally back when Amazon first got them. I've just been watching it all this time to grab a few if the price dropped. I ordered one back then, and picked up a few now to customize eventually.

This is a great product from Chap Mei, and something a lot of people have had an interest in. The only downside is the color - unless you're aTiger Force fan! Maybe it's a sign the we'll eventually see some of the other large sets. It would be really great if more stores picked these up to take advantage of the popularity of the 25th Joes and other new lines. With all the 3 3/4 inch scale action coming this year, this would be a great time for Chap Mei to break out somewhere like Wal-Mart instead of those really low-end sets they've been selling.

I agree with Leo! ;-) :-D

I just picked up 4 of them, hard to pass up at the price and I have been wanting them for the past 25 years sense their first appearence in Marvel. Just a little bit of Cobra Blue paint, some glued on weapons, and some sticker sheets from GIJoeHeaven, and I will be set!

Just a bump to let everyone know the Dino Valley Sky Crane set has dropped to $12.00 at Amazon. If you're looking for one (or more) of these to customize, this is as good a deal as it gets!
