So, i was wondering what star wars figures have good articulation, particular in the hips? I know the most recent obi-wan and anakin/vader figures do, as well as commander gree, and the darth maul sith evolutions figure, but there's got to be some other ones with good articulation out there. does anyone know where this can be found out? |

Usually if I have a question about a figure, I look at rebelscum. They have pics of each figure and one of the pics usually shows the articulation of the figure. http://www.rebelscum.com/TACfigures.asp |

This also depends on your definition of 'good'. That Anakin fig has them damnable swivel elbows, which is very certainly not good to me. |

Yeah AV, i'd like to know why they give such articulation and then screw it up by doing that, why, why, why, they did the same to Maris Brood, only with the leg articulation, why Hasbro, why ????????????????? |

Apparently the SW team is budgeted so that they can make X number of new molds per year/quarter/wave/whatever. They then divvy up that X number by Y number of figs they want to put out. The Joe team works the same way, but with apparently a lower X number. |

Both Evo Darth Mauls only have regular (crap) SW hips. |

As far as I know, the Star Wars figures that can..ahem...spread their legs (there, I typed it!) , apart from the ones already mentioned, are 2: OTC Tatooine Luke (bare-chested, cloth shirt) and AT-TE driver Clone Trooper. Let me get some RebelScum.com links. Here: http://www.rebelscum.com/OTC-Vlukeskywalker.asp http://www.rebelscum.com/ROTS0538attegunner.asp By the way, I remember someone in this forum stated clearly that these were the only occasions Hasbro had made Star Wars figures with such articulation (before the 2008 Wave 1). It was in a discussion whether the Star Wars crowd is actually satisfied with limited hip articulation or not... |
