Okay, I'm going to assume that one of the main reasons we haven't seen any new figure pictures for JoeCon is because they've likely been busting their collective tails for BotCon.

Now, we've all seen that interesting new insignia for the HeadHunters, that Cobra-emblazoned skull with the spears in the background.

Finding a place for that on the HeadHunter Guards was no problem. Finding a place for it on Gristle wasn't too hard, I suspect.

Where the heck do you put it on the Stormtrooper!? I've got a HeadHunter Stormtrooper here in front of me. Now, assuming the Club uses the exact same batch of molds -- arms and torso are out of the question. Between the spiked armor and assorted belts, straps, pouches, and sculpted-on weapons, there's categorically no room.

Legs are pretty much out of the question, too. Each leg has two straps leading to small weapons.

That leaves the head. And the top of that creepy techno-skull-faced helmet, although it's got a couple of ridges in it, IS a relatively smooth surface, and is really the only viable option. It's still going to have to be imprinted dang small, but look at how small they managed to get that Dreadnok insignia on the Dreadheads a few years ago.

I'm going with helmet. Discussion, anyone? Hopefully we'll find out soon! :-)

(And yeah, this is the kind of nit-picky little detail that can drive me nuts...)

Hmm, your assessment is correct. The only real options are A: No insignia at all, or B: A smaller version between the straps on the right thigh.

Personally, and completely unrelated to the topic, I'd like to see someone at Hasbro punch MC in the mouth and take the molds back so we can get proper releases of the HH and HHS figures.

Yes, i am bitter.

I thought about upper right leg, too, for the insignia. There is room, and it could actually be bigger than the helmet, but it just struck me as an odd place for the insignia. Conversely, it wouldn't be the first time. The Iron Anvil from 2005 has the Destro insignia on his left leg.

Hopefully we'll know soon.

I'm betting on the leg, odd as it is.

Of course, this assumes that they do indeed have ALL of the HHST body parts to work with. I'd hate to see them use a random part just so they'd have an "appropriate" place to put some pointless logo

Or they may not have the parts at all. Remember we have heard for years the mold was either lost or broken. Could be we are building up for another fankenstein.

We'll have to see, of course, but I think the HH Stormtrooper is so distinctive, that it would be difficult to frankenstein him without a considerable outcry. I've honestly been amazed at some of the mold sets that the Club has unearthed. Hopefully this is another one, wherever they may put the insignia.

I'd rather there be no logo than cramming that giant, way too busy, logo somewhere on a figure who's cool enough on his own.

Thats assumeing that they do have the HHST mold...

I still think the peice that will determine the success or failure of this years' set will be if they have or don't have a complete V1 ARAH BAT.

Given the delay in posting a third figure from the set, I have to wonder if something went wrong, ala the Mauler fiasco. They might be scrambling to fix a broken mold, or trying to frankenstein something.

Either way, if its another teal figure, I am totally passing on the set.

Regarding the last two posts, I'm a lot more inclined to think that BotCon is responsible for the lack of additional figures being posted, than any problems with the figure molds.

And maybe they don't want to blow their wad by showing all of the figures too quickly

Yeah, but if all the figures were available to view, I might plan to use my govt rebate check to order a set, as it is I'll probably spend it on other stuff since I'm not going to buy this sight unseen, and certainly not on the merits of the two figures we've seen so far.
