Has anyone made one?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:F-117A_Ramp.jpg

It seems like it'd be a much more manageable size than the F-16, F-22 or other big guys.

The F-117 is actually bigger than the F-16 and F-18. I own the 1:18 F-16 and it's a big sucker, so the F-117 would be even bigger so it's doubtful that anyone would make one, but you never know. Especially since the F-117 was retired april 22nd of this year.

F-117 General characteristics
Crew: 1
Length: 69 ft 9 in (20.08 m)
Wingspan: 43 ft 4 in (13.20 m)
Height: 12 ft 9.5 in (3.78 m)
Wing area: 780 ft² (73 m²)

F-16 General characteristics
Crew: 1
Length: 49 ft 5 in (14.8 m)
Wingspan: 32 ft 8 in (9.8 m)
Height: 16 ft (4.8 m)
Wing area: 300 ft² (27.87 m²)

F-18 General characteristics

Crew: F/A-18C: 1, F/A-18D: 2 (pilot and weapons system officer)
Length: 56 ft (17.1 m)
Wingspan: 40 ft (12.3 m)
Height: 15 ft 4 in (4.7 m)
Wing area: 400 ft² (38 m²)

Well what do you know? It always looked a bit smaller to me. That probably kills its chances.

The closest so far the the one they made for the SpyTroops stuff with G.I.Joe. It's not the greatest by far, but it gets the job done. I don't so much mind it.

Hm, I didn't know the F-117 was retired from service this year. *thinks* Then again, it's been in service over 20 years...

I want a 1:18 scale XB-70. :shifty:

Rent it out, to a family of four. That thing would be huge in 1/18 scale.

See, I'd love a stealth in Joe-scale, not true 1:18. True 1:18 looks great, but not next to joe stuff. For example, I bought one of those BBI Apaches a few years ago. Awesome vehicle, great detail...but when I hung it next to my Night Raven, Rattlers, and Skystrikers, it dwarfed all of them. Both the apache and the joe vehicles looked ridiculous.

Wasn't that plane built on the airframe of the SR-71? or perhaps vicey-versey?

I kinda think I'm weird because I want a "hustler" (for the life of me, i think it was b-57 designated.)

Werd. I've got one of those and I haven't even taken the freakishly large thing out of the box. It dwarfs even the chap mei Chinook.

No. The XB-70 was its own, very large, airframe. The SR-71 was built from the YF-12, the same airframe used for the A-12 Article.

Agreed. The Elite Ops F-18 and A-10, much like the Skystriker and the old A-Team F-16, are near perfect in "Joe-scale". I figure the planes are about 1:35, with cockpit seats scaled for 1:18. It seems to split the right difference between playability and that "believeable" look.

However, I must disagree on this formula with respect to the Mi-24 Hind. It would need to be huge and scary. Whichever toy manufacturer grows a large enough set of manstones to make one in true 1:18 scale will be doing us all a great service. So someone do it already!!!! :-x

*ahem*

Put jet engines in it and make it a [LASER BLAST]' R/C plane. :-D Smaller R/C planes would just need to stay the hell away from the wingtips though... :shifty: In all seriousness, it would be ungainly. I'm just a big fan of the plane, that's all. :-)

As J_Man said, in Spy Troops we did get the Sky Sweeper and even a Sky Sweeper repaint in Valor Vs. Venom, but those are a bit small to really mesh as true F-117's...

I wouldn't mind seeing one I suppose, though I prefer to use the Phantom X-19 as my default Stealth aircraft...

Judging by the size of this one in the guys hand at the beginning of the video, I'd say it would fit in perfectly with the Sky Stryker.

And this one is for AutobotC5

Yeah VvV was for the kids and the Skysweeper is purley a toy, I think they dragged bones on it because of the work they put into the NAC and other larger toys back then.

One question about the f-117, in that movie were Steven Segal is like delta force or somthing the f-117 attachs to a jetliner. Is there realy that much space in the back of that thing to whole a special ops team.
