Pluv is right. It's iconic but also not used nearly enough. Could definitely imagine one with conventional firearms attached and some "nose cone" art.

I agree, the Probe Droid could work really well. So many sent out, who knows what wormholes or black holes they could have encountered, transporting them to other parts of the galaxy.
I would also like to see the Darth Maul probe droids in use as modifications to the Probe Droid. They might be to big, but scrounging parts and materials could result in smaller droids of that line or design as daughter droids to the mother Probe Droid. Sort of smaller units that could be sent out to establish a perimeter, provide additional recon, and conduct riskier (sacrificial) type missions.
