Yesterday I traveled to Canandaigua, NY to attend the annual Pageant of Steam. The flea market was good sized, but it's been years since I scored any GI Joe. All I saw this year was a greenish new sculpt Snake-Eyes.

I did score four Marvel Retro figures at $12 each: Black Widow, Thor, Thing, and Green Goblin.

Also a TMNT snapping turtle character that fits in nicely in the 3.75 inch scale. $3.

And an Imaginext Jurassic Park tower for $3.

Stopped at the Geneva Walmart and found 2x Batman Gotham Police car sets for $19 each.

At the local GameStop I got a Retro Mandolorian for $11 and another Marvel Retro Storm for $10. Plus some 4 for $20 PS4 games.

Also hit Dollar Tree & Walmart with the eldest son Friday.
Dollar tree I found a tube with some dogs & cats. The cats are a lil too big, but a lot of the dogs look good. I also found a slide back box that I'm going to be using as a travel dice box.

At Walmart I found 3 pairs of shorts & 2 Venom shirts all in my size, the best part is they were all on clearance for $1.

Also, for those that theorized about it, I checked the Ross NEXT DOOR to Target and guess what I found for $5....

They had several. So yeah, instead of selling to their own customers, Target blew them out to Ross. Not cool.

Better than my Walmart, they had moved some of them to clearance with no stickers (everything else was marked). Had my son scan them and they were back to the $9.90 ish price, but they also still had three pegs of them in toy aisle labeled $8.88 like the rest of the DC figures. I still need to get a Selina & a Cobblepot.

This afternoon's thrift store (1979 original "Star Wars" Patrol Dewback) and Dollar Tree (square pegboard) hauls!

The Vintage Dewback was only $.99!

The square pegboards are pretty interesting and can be used for several sci-fi purposes (wall/floor panels, pallets, etc.).

Creatively Organized by JOT Square Shaped Pegboard review for sci-fi collectors/customizers:

I found these square shaped pegboard 2pks today at Dollar Tree. They are part of the "Creatively Organized" line by JOT (same company that makes the Hanging Organizer Trays that I showed a few weeks ago).

They are made from a heavy, rigid plastic that will keep their shape well and stand up to everyday display needs. They measure 5" on each side and are just over .5" tall. The shallow but sharp pattern on the surface is what caught my eye and made me take a closer look at them. There are small "connectors" on 2 perpendicular sides and corresponding "ports" on the opposite perpendicular sides, but they really do not do anything as they fit extremely loosely.

I believe that they can serve many different purposes for sci-fi collectors and customizers including but not limited to pallets and wall or floor panels. You can see some pictures below showing their scale with a 4" "Fortnite" figure, the "connectors"/"ports" and how they look connected into a 10" square. I hope to find a few more of the 2pks at the many Dollar Tree stores in my immediate area.

The mail carrier brought some new Eagle Force figures. These went up for sale on the Fresh Monkey Fiction site last week.

An addendum to yesterday's post:

The mini pegboards are also available in white and I found a different model that is one solid piece that is equivalent to the 2 smaller square pieces. I only found these rectangular ones in black but there is no reason to doubt that they also come in white like the smaller ones.

Thanks.

I knew it was coming out and wasn’t sure I’d want it. Then I saw it in a random comic shop and couldn’t pass on it

FedEx guy brought me some stuff from Hasbro Pulse. Two Star Wars Black Nalan Cheel figures so I can have the whole band. Two each of the Vintage Collection Stormtrooper Commander and Heavy Assault Stormtrooper figures. And a Power Rangers Lightning Collection Blue Ranger helmet.

Got a "not-Lego" set coming later from Amazon today too.

Friday Mail Call and discount store haul!

The first 2 pieces (my order is split across 3 deliveries as no one warehouse had all 5 items I ordered) of my Amazon order (larger dinos) arrived today!

I found the 2 smaller dinos at DII, the discount store near my office in Passaic! They are brand new (just hitting retailers now) and pretty hard to find at the moment. They were $1 more expensive than Target or Walmart would be, but I would have wasted way more than that in gas running from store to store hunting them.
