The elephant is currently available at TRU in one of the larger Animal Planet sets.

Was our 16 year wedding anniversary, and the Mrs. got me a great Medusa head in white from AngelForge for making an albinid Medusa idea she had. She got a MonsterHigh gal, the Phoenix one she always wanted but we couldn't swing getting for a while.

When in Target we noticed the new Terra line of fantasy figures. Looks like the want to give Schleich a run for their money, or at least Papo given their style and price, which were fairly inexpensive. In TRU, we noticed that those new knights by the Legendary Heroes line seem to have some minor articulation. Knees, elbows, and arms at least. Been perusing the Halloween offerings, for now is the time to check into all the great items at cost for use in dios and such.

That elephant is all kinds of cool. I kind of want one, even though I have nothing to use it for.

Wow. As far as I'm concerned "CAT Scan" is canon.

I have to brag a little on an ebay score. I'd been trying to get some Army of Darkness skeletons and zombies (because awesome) and shied off on a few bidding wars on large lots. Then I managed to snag the entire first wave (I think, 6 two packs) for $20 shipped. I'd never seen these in person before, impressive what they were doing with 4" figures before everyone else. Shame they went under.

Be very careful with those figures, they are as brittle as glass. The joints are made from an extremely fragile clear plastic that snaps if you look at it too hard :(

He's so right. Especially the legs of the Deadites. Don't know how many of them I had to permanently affix the leg at the hip in a standing pose. But their weapons! Ah, there be some primo medieval weapons. Especially the daggers. I loved that line and was only able to get just a few sets from Suncoast Video when we had one of those in the mall. Now, well, there is Amazon, Ebay, and the odd place here and there. The Pit Witch is gold though, and not brittle at all, but she is well, a Pit Witch.

I took a brace of Deadites and drilled a hole in their spine, and ala Vlad the Impaler, have them in true agony mid-way down a sharpened dowel rod. They are going on either side of my MK throne.

Funny enough, Pit Witch is the only broken joint (elbow) I've had so far.

Does anyone know if you boil the armored skeletons and zombies, can you remove most of their gear?

They can be removed, but unlike other figures where the clothing is just slid on before assembly, these figures have small ridges and pegs where the clothing is glued onto the figure. This goes for helmets, wraps, armor, and other bits. On some of the skeletons. the armored glove is the arm, and not a covered piece, so you're kind of stuck there, unless you remove the arm at the gauntlet top.

I boiled off all of the helmets and other armorkexcept for the gloves as Cap mentioned). The helmets particularly are a PITA to get off and will often leave black marks on the skulls (can be sanded off).

Sounds like the same as DC Collectibles's joints.

G.I. Joe Kre-O Terror Drome just arrived. Man this thing is going to be SO much fun to build. Considering it took me about 3 hours to build the Arashikage Temple I'm setting aside all day Saturday to build this one. I haven't applied stickers to any of the sets I've built yet but this one screams for them to be applied so that will take up a good chunk of time in itself.

I was just starting to get down about my G.I. Joe collecting and then along comes this to brighten my day.
