If Mega Construx had started with a Starcom inspired (or actual Starcom reboot) i wouldn't collect any other line except MOTU.

The..Probuilder - Space Rover Expedition set was basically just that to me. I still don't have that set :-(

I think it's about time people started sculpting and casting custom mega parts. I've given up hope that most of the IP's we all have hoped for will ever be made in Mega form.
Everyone in this thread has experience with mold making , casting and 3d printing.

We're our best hope.

You saw my BAT custom, right? It was 3D printed.

If we could get a line of MB figures with build-a-vehicle kits like these RIHIO mechs n' whatnot instead of the faux Lego kits I'm certain the line would sell gangbusters.

I've made a couple of custom casted heads and torsos. My She Ra and Sorceress both use casted torsos. Still gotta post pics of those 2....

Are you pressure casting or gravity casting ? Perhaps we should invest in you as a collective . I don't mind doing it but if you already have the materials at home it would save us the waiting time (assuming you wanted to make a few molds ).

Yeah, I've been going back and forth on getting those RIHIO mechs and probably will eventually. I wish MB stuff was more like that instead of bricks. I'm not now, nor was I ever, really a fan of brick toys. I like my stuff to look realistic and not have all the various studs and holes and whatnot you get from brickbuilding. If they'd just release on-sprue kits that required assembly and possibly painting, I'd be happy with that.

Yeah, I'm just not understanding why nobody has seized on the MB format/scale to make a screaming bankful of money yet; and the brickplay will forever keep them in Lego's shadow as an 'also-ran' when they're specatcular innovators of what should be their own toy 'continent'.

Nothing fancy, just the cheapo Allumite set you can buy at hobby lobby.

Snagged a couple of these guys. Sufficiently Eurotrash enough to give me the Crimson Twins vibe, so with just a dash of red on the neck for a tie/ascot thing and a scar on Xamot, and I have an LBC version of Tomax and Xamot in business attire. I'll probably use the diver bodies I've been holding onto to make their classic uniforms and just do head-swaps depending on use.

Huh, that actually works pretty well for the twins.

Anyways I was mentioning casted parts. My She Ra and Sorceress both use the same casted torso that was modified afterwards.

Those look pretty good! Jealous that you found enough Teelas to actually use some as customs. I have some Cortana bodies I've been using for female customs but I'm running low.
What did you use for the Sorceress' wings and where's that Orko from/what parts did you use?

Here's one I'd had on the backburner for some time and decided to finish today:

The Brute helmet works surprisingly well here. I take it you didn't have any extra He-Man figures to steal arms from?

The twins remind me very much of the Jigsaw character from the Netflix PUNISHER show.

Cobra Command - if Alumilite didn't cure so quickly i'd use it again . Not being able to dye to material before casting limits the appeal it has to me. However if you make a mold for the shirtless male torso's and arms i might be interested in picking up a few!

Awesome Ram Man! Those wings for the Sorceress we're from a Gormiti figure I picked up ages ago. As for casting, I just started tinkering with some new stuff for molds. It's not bad, reusable but I've had a hard time getting the neck balls to come out right so far. Gonna have to experiment some more to figure out how to get it to work...

So here is some casts I've made. One good one out of three. I purposely made the mold to go past the waist as my goal is to make it with waist articulation like a regular mega figure. These were done and the entire process took from start to finish for the first cast about 10 minutes including mold making time. I kinda rushed which is probably why 2 of them failed. But this gives you an idea of the new stuff I tried out. Got it pretty cheap from a US seller on eBay. BTW, Hordak is a VERY early WIP.
