 Post subject: Argh! Company fees and refund polices!

Argh!

I bought tickets to bring my daughter to her first concert, Dropkick Murphy's. Tickets were $29.95 a pop. So I grab three look at the total, $105+ and think cool. That's not too horrible. Then I get an email saying i had only bought 2 tickets! Two tickets should be $60 they added over $40 in fees! And I only had 2. So I scrambled to buy a third, I got it for $55. They charged higher fees for a single ticket! So I'm pissed that I paid nearly double what the ticket costs were but whatever, we'll live.

My wife is excited, she and the Little Warrior are on a trip to visit her Grandfather, and we're trying to figure out when to tell the Little Warrior that we got tickets, DKM are currently her favorite band. Then my wife has an "On S**t!" moment. We're scheduled to be at an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic the week of the concert. This is a trip we booked pre-Covid that was Covid-cancelled then Covid-rescheduled.

So I contact Ticketmaster and they refuse to do anything. No refund. No changing to a different date that works. No credit to the account. Nothing. They asked if I had bought the ticket insurance, I didn't it was an additional $10 a ticket. I asked if it would have made a difference. They said it would not have in any way and there is nothing they will do about it.

I get it. It was our bad for not double checking the date. But we had all but forgotten about the trip cause, Covid, and damn Ticketmaster is like Skeletor. Evil.

Contact your credit card company and tell them to stop payment. Explain there was an issue with their website, you had three tickets but it processed as two. You tried to fix it to make sure you had the needed three and their website is messing ordering up, changing what is in the cart.

Maybe your card company can put a hold on it.

Or just say your kid got your card and ordered stuff they shouldn't have...
