my computer is an acer14 chromebook. it has been great, if not hard to learn the ins and outs of being so different than what i was using before. it has been serving me well to upload and edit pics. out of the blue the last time i plugged in my card reader it just gave a small prompt about viewing an attached device .instead of the notmal automatically bringing up my "drive" page and a prompt to backup to the cloud. so i could see the pics, and i could crop/rotate them. they wouldn't save though. when i hit save they showed up as text in my recent folder. not knowing even how to frame the question it's hard to just google for a fix. i did contact a chrome specific forum for help, but they couldn't really help. you can see my question and answers here https://support.google.com/chromebook/t ... 530?hl=en# i tried going into settings on drive and chrome, but can't find a "switch" to turn on for backing up to the cloud. i just don't understand how it can go from working to just not? i'm hoping i don't have to buy another laptop when this one is working in every other way. |
