I'm back. Cue crickets. Those of you that remember, I had a habit of shaking things up. Particularly with the GIJCC. I also had a penchant for distasteful humour (remember the plane crash in DC fiasco?). I'm glad to say I've grown up, largely, in those respects. I bite my tongue a lot more now. I took some time off of the forum, largely for no other reason than my hobbies shifted. I got into the 12" British Action Man figures. Collected 20-odd of those, got my 12" Adventure Team nearly completed. It's been a time. Recently though, I read The Joy of Joe, a collection of essays by fans, hobbiests, and others, about GI Joe, and their association with the toy. It got me fired back up and looking at my ARAH Joes in a way I haven't in a while. In the time I've been away, I dropped out of college, got married, and had a son. Which ought'a give some of you older guys whiplash. My most recent birthday turned me 25. I'm looking forward to my time back on the forum, hoping I can change my screen name at some point, and I'm hoping I can make a new self custom of my self, and one for my son. Then maybe some more after that. We'll see.... |
