After Lynch failed to capture The A-Team, Colonel Decker tried for a few years.

That said, when I started this project, I remembered Colonel Decker, but thought that he was Lynch. I forgot about Lynch aside from the name.

_

2001 was a mixed bag. Although the quality of the figures was better than the milky ones of '97, many of the figures were just new heads on old bodies. The bodies weren't even invented mixes of old parts, just old bodies.

Sure Fire featured a new head on a Shockwave v3 body.

Not a bad figure, but one that read too much as a Shockwave wanna-be.

Yeah, Decker is the one I always remember when it comes to hunting the A-Team. This comes together just fine.

I really have no problem with Surefire being pretty much just a head swap as it gives some cohesion between them, I just wish that they had carried the head over to Surefire v2. Though if v1 had the same hair color as v2 it would have made him a touch more different than Shockwave v3. This is a great rendering of the character, but I'd love to see v2's color scheme.

Thanks on both.

Here's Surefire in his V2 colors for you...

i love all your a team set!

i like the 2nd color of surefire a lot better for a joe. the first set of colors made me think of scrap iron or another cobra type.

Colonel Decker is a character worth having in the Joeverse.

Thanks! There are enough A-Team characters to keep the 40th Anniversary rolling into the end of the summer, if not the fall. My next figure will be the first plucked from the 2010 film.

I agree on Surefire's second color set, just wish they would've used the same head with the same hair color.

I agree. If a good writer got a hold of the characters, I think the entire A-Team could be rolled into a GI Joe story. But it would have to be the right balance of fun vs grit.

The Decker custom could almost serve double duty as Hawk in Marvel's #1 "Hot Potato" backup story, except the crossdraw revolver is exclusive the Decker.
