I've been wanting to make him for a while and nothing seemed to click until the Arctic Snake-eyes came out. As for his gear, I wanted a little more real world feel, that rocket launcher he carried never made much sense, so I gave him a Stinger since he's an Air Defense Specialist. For his rifle, I ended up with that BBI modified SAW after using on in Battlefield: Bad Company to blow a chopper out of the sky.

The hat is a Duke head, with a modified Gung Ho hat glued on, then the hood is sculpted on.

Not a character I'd ever considered making for myself but now I may have to. This is a great look and works very well. The work is flawless as usual and it all just works perfectly together.

Nicely done!

Nicely done! I love how you can instantly tell who this is-great use of parts there, especially how you modded the hat.

Using the Arctic Snake-Eyes makes sense to me too, like Rampart is wearing foul-weather gear on a boat or windy beach.

Nice choice of real-world weapons. It might be cool to give him a Marauder M-14 rifle as well, that's a common US Navy rifle. Just a suggestion.

y'know i hardly ever comment in the critiques section because I'm not much of a customizer, but I do lurk. And every once in a while there's a custom that just blows me away, your Recondo was one of them and now this one too.

Hasbro should take note of this, THIS is how you select parts from existing figures and piece together an accurate rendition of a vintage figure! First of all Rampart is not high on anyone's list of memorable characters, and my mind's eye would never have thought about Arctic SE with Wild Bill arms to get this effect and painting is factory quality as usual.

I have very little affinity to the later joes in the line but if Hasbro produced this guy like this, I'd buy him in a heartbeat.

AWESOME! I LOVE the 1989-1991 series (pre-neon), and I was waiting for someone to do characters like Rampart, Recoil, Etc. This is bad ass anda definite improvement over the original.

Rampart is one of my favorite characters, and I've been planning to make a figure of him in the 25th style for some time. Let's just say I'm glad I didn't get too far with it, because I'd be scrapping it. Great custom, and a lot of ideas I can use. Good work as always man.

Everything is perfect. You even made the feet make sense now. The work on the head is fantastic. The weapons fit him to a T. And of course the super clean paint.

Thanks, guys. I always likes Rampart, mostly due to his run in the DIC cartoon.

Does Marauder make an M-14? I was considering the more compact G-36 as a backup.

He's got a new modular one as well as a basic one from series 1.
