All right first of all bare with me with the quality of the photos. I'm using my girlfriend's camera and it has less mega pixels and I'm not use to it.
Anyways, I've been working on and off on these guys for the last few months. I wasn't that happy with Hasbro's Falcon or Leatherneck so I decided to go ahead and remake them. I started Footloose a couple months ago before Hasbro said they had one coming out and Mercer was supposed to be a counterpart to the TRU exclusive that's been canceled. I "previewed" Leatherneck a couple months ago with my Roadblock but I hadn't revealed who he was yet.

Wow, these are all really cool.

I really love how much better than Hasbro's versions your takes on Falcon and Leatherneck are. Using Mutt's vest for Leatherneck's worked incredibly well.

Falcon looks good. I don't know if I like that head for him but it isn't bad. It just doesn't scream Falcon to me. The parts use from the neck down is superb though and the camo is beautiful.

Footloose's mustache is off. It doesn't look even on both sides. Like he got the right side clipped off.

Leatherneck is by far the best of the bunch. I agree with Jay that using the Mutt vest was really smart and looks fantastic tic. Nothing to critique at all on him.

Mercer is almost there. I think with those huge shoulders you might want to find a bigger head. Otherwise his head is smaller than his shoulders which just looks weird.

Thanks for the comments guys, always helps with the motivation! I have several more on the work bench, Punisher, Repeater, Recoil, Female Viper, Roadblock, haha the list goes on.

About Mercer I know what you mean Pluv, the shoulders pop in and out of the torso in some positions, so sometimes they're in the body more while other times they stick out. It's really starting to bother me. Same with the head in some positions the size looks ok and other times it's too small. I almost used the Resolute Duke head but I preferred the look of the Hawk head for Mercer. But even after I put him all put together I have been looking for a replacement head, but alas it's been to no avail.

For Leatherneck, I borrowed the idea for the vest and arms from someone on another board but the rest I made my own.

Thanks again guys, hopefully I'll have some more to post soon.

Really digging the paint work and accessories on all of these.

I agree with pluv on Footloose's stache being just a bit off -- too thick and chunky maybe?

But I'm okay with Mercer's broad shouldered look.

Great work.

The Falcon is awesome. That head is spot on for the cocky 1LT. That sculpted bandanna looks great. The size of it reminds me of the cravat they have to make slings and such in Combat Lifesaver bags. That's the thing you see used as do-rags in all the Vietnam movies. I will third the Footloose mustache and ad that the wildish hair is a nice touch. The camo on Falcon, Leatherneck and Footloose is pretty cool. nicely done and not exact which I like. I like the Mercer. The shoulders re bigger but since the rest of the group doesn't look like real people (if you get what I mean), it fits well.

Nice take on each character. Your camo painting is top notch. The thing that strikes me most is the attention to detail with working all the various parts together. Well thought out, and well executed.

very well done, I like them all but not to into footloose. The paints are perfect on all of them and the parts selection is really good too. Can't wait to see some more.

agree with everyone on your paint apps, especially the camo, as being top notch. Also must agree with most that the stache on Footloose is too big. I'd thin that thing way down, and you'd be surprised at how much the overall look of the figure improves. And thin it down in all respects. Right now the size of it would fit a Marvel Legends sized figure.

But that's a pretty small critique compared to how much goodness you have in this post. That's probably the best Custom Falcon I've seen yet, at least in 25th form. iwbeta's is on par, but his is more Joe style, and yours is more realistic. DavAnthony's newsculpt version is really the only one I'd rank higher, from my memory at least, and yeah the head might be the only difference in my mind.

Joe nailed it on Mercer. He definitely looks production. If you want to upgrade to a larger head, look into some of the BBI heads out there. If you find one you think fits the look, I bet the scale would be perfect for that figure.

And lastly, if your other figures didn't look so good, I'd say Leatherneck steals the show for me. I like everything about that figure.
