Finally, some paint tweaks to RoC-inspired figures. Burnt Iron for Charbroil's armor, and platinum blonde for Helx' highlights:

Thanks everyone.

Here's a new one, the Ice Viper. I wanted him to match the card art:

Fantastic Job. Really nice Camo, and it really makes the sculpt pop.

I can't take credit for the technique since I just read it online somewhere, but I can't seem to find the article right now.

Basically, it involves, using salt as a mask to give the square pixel shapes.

First, paint the base color (in this case olive drab). Then sprinkle some salt on the figure. Spray with the second color (dark green). Sprinkle some more salt. Spray the third color (khaki). Wipe off the salt and you're left with square patterns. I used rock salt which has larger cuboidal grains than iodized salt like Morton.

In retrospect, I think I should have used the khaki as the base color instead of the last color since this one ended up looking too bright.

OK-I know how to salt mask for say rust effects on a tank model.

But I never would have thought to use it for Digital Camouflage! :-D Awe-SOME!

Thank you! :-D

What kind of paint are you spraying with? Like spray paint in a can?

Exactly. Specifically Tamiya's acrylic spray paints since that's what we have here... I imagine these aren't as readily available in the US though and I'm not familiar with US model paint brands :-/
