I've been working on a new Sci Fi verse, as I've alluded to several times. Still not ready to lay it all out there yet, but in the meantime, here is another preview character from it.

Her name is Imber Ferro. In her normal life, she is the reputable daughter of a nobleman. But when she can, she spends her time roaming deep space as a feared member of an infamous crew of pirates...

Looks really good. Like what you did with the softgoods.

Recipe, please?

I like the look of both. To keep the frays of the fabric from looking so roughly cut, you can draw a line of glue and cut along that line. It won't hold some silky/rayon-y fabrics but anything cotton it will. I'm not saying that is a problem here, but I noticed on the shoulders, it just doesn't look as clean as I'd imagine this character would have it.

That's a good idea. The strange thing is that the only cut I made was to shorten the skirt. That needs evening out a bit too. but that's the way the shoulders came from Hasbro on the "dress." It was actually a surcoat on the Republic Guard figure.

Other parts:
For Civilian Imber Ferro:
Head: POTC Angelica
Torso: MU female modded
Arms: SW Padme (evening gown look)
Cape: New SW Lando
Dress: SW Republic Guard
Legs: MU Ms. Marvel
Boots: PoP Dastan

Pirate Imber Ferro:
Head: another POTC Angelica
Torso: MU female modded
Arms and Coat: ST - the bad guy, forget his name
Belt and Boots: PoP Dastan
Legs: ROC RA Scarlett

I really like the Pirate version. I'd swear she has a "Captain Jack Sparrow's Daughter look to her".

Plus, she also looks Dreadnok-y, so that's win win for me.

She's seriously awesome, as usual.

If any fabric items even have a little synthetic to them (nylon, rayon, etc), you could seal the edges with a Bic lighter holding about a 1/4 to 1/8 of an inch from the fabric. This melts the fraying and seals it from further fraying. I do this all the time to those SW and other line fabric accessories. Just have to be really careful of course and hold your breath while doing it, as a single exhale could blow the flame too close.

I am not a soft goods kind of guy, but they really work here. And that flesh tone is nice and smooth good job.

the Pirate version is all win though. Great job on both.

I'll just add, since I know you use Modge Podge for some things already, that it will work just like glue on the frays, and it dries much more flexible. Thinning it a little with water might help it pull into the fabric a bit. Test on a scrap piece, and all that. ;)

Thanks again for the comments guys. Always appreciate good words from some of the best customizers out there. Working out some details of my verse still, and would love to have the time to get some sets worked up before showing everything off, but it may not happen anytime soon, so expect a swarm of new characters/customs soon.

That's fantastic.
The painting alone makes it great but the two different looks really sell the custom.
Nice to finally see the space stuff you've been talking about.

Thanks Joe, I'll have more from this verse to show soon, since I don't think I can wait til I have the time and space for some sets.

The multiple looks is something I'm going for on many of the main characters. I'm customizing the figures with a future large scale dio in mind. Perhaps doing it in reverse, but since I don't have the dio space needed yet, that's just the order I have to do it.
