Thanks for the compliments, everyone. It was a lot of fun to build. Kind of a pain at times, too, but you'll have that.

Now I've got to clean the darn shop!

Awesome. You must be relieved to have such an ambitious project finally over with. So what are you planning on building next?

Yeah, relieved is a good word for it.

I'd originally thought I'd build Nick Fury's flying Ferrari, but I'm having a little trouble with the suspension parts. So instead, I'm doing a series of figures based on 1960's and 1970's sci-fi tv shows. And when I get the need to build another vehicle it will probably be something named after an Italian astronomer....

The detail on the flight deck is astounding. Great stuff!

Thanks, PN. For a lot of years I collected model kits and "bashed" them into something other than their intended purpose. The leftovers found their way into the quinjet. It was a lot of fun extrapolating what the various stations might be for and what kind of panels or details or greeblies might be necessary in those places.

So, quick question: are you guys bored by threads that go on for months and years? Or would you rather I just plop a completed project on the board when it's done? I'm giving some thought to taking the WIP photos as a project develops, then posting it all in one big lump when it's done.

I, for one, like seeing the progress as it happens.

I also like to see progress, so long as the thread is updated with "new stuff on page ____" so I know where to look.

Beautiful work! And I love the WIP photos and month long thread. Tips and tricks for future customizing!

Cool. I'll keep posting updates on new projects as they happen. I hear you, though, PN, about wanting a "new stuff on pg _" tag. I just thought that if a thread had been off the first page of the Critiques section, then reappeared, everyone would understand there'd been an update.

Jet looks awesome, but the WIP takes some of the steam out of the awe. I like looking at the WIP pictures as they come but I think that it results in less amazement in the final product. I used to post WIPs but have since decided that I will no longer post WIPs until after posting a final product. I find that the my raw unpainted products look so much different then the finished product that having the WIPs up while working on it is kinda like a magician telling you how he is doing the trick while he is doing the illusion. This project was slightly different then the custom vehicles that I do, but it still applies. While I love the vehicle I truly think that I would love it even more if I had not seen the WIPs.
It is kinda like when you watch a really good movie but you are disappointed because it was not as awesome as the previews had caused you to anticipate.

So bottom line the vehicle is awesome, I love looking at WIP's but personally (for selfish reasons) but I do not like posting WIP's (and sometimes I really really want to post pics of a vehicle but try to keep them at a minimum).
