love that Doomsday, one of my favorite villians, still remember how awesome he was at kicking super hero ass in the Death arc. Nice job

This was a matter of instantaneous inspiration that wound up bogging me down for a few days after I found an old McDonalds happy meal toy behind the couch:

Because I happened to have a red torso and some flesh colored legs on hand, I thought the conversion would be easy. It wasn't. At all. Especially adapting the arms for extensions:

How do you guys think it turned out?

Oh, and I went back at Doomsday to try and implement the great ideas shared on the last page:

I think painting the trunks helped, but I couldn't find a way to do the metal bands on the thighs that looked convincing. If anyone has ideas, let me know.

Thanks.

I just picked up the Plastic Man cartoon dvd set at Big Lots last week, so seeing a custom so soon is kinda weird. :D

I think he works pretty well. Any Mr Fantastic accessory could be used for him too...

Doomsday looks amazing. I wouldn't do anything on him. He looks better without the bands. But if you needed to, sculpt them on, maybe gumball machine jewelry rings?

Plastic Man is fun. The only thing I'd do is paint over the attachments so they have a more toned down shine to them to match the rest of the figure. The Namor legs work but having the flesh with a wash on them down bottom but not up top kind of throws things off. Not bad, just a little jarring.

agree with pluv's fleshtone suggestion.

and to follow up DJ's Fantastic 4 suggestion, there might be some Green Lantern attachments that could be painted flesh tone to work as extra plastic man add ons as well.

Whoa! Doosday is cool.

Plastic Man really works the odd shaped MU torso works well for a shape changer like Plas.

Something about Plastic Man's torso isn't working for me. It seems too wide and squat compared to the limbs. I know most people don't like it but the original MU Silver Surfer torso would work really well here.

Agree with Mysterious Stanger that the torso is too short or bulky.Would try either Human Torch or Silver Surfer might be the same mold not sure right now. Also give the legs a solid flesh tone (no wash) with no toes on the feet and paint the black areas between the waist band.

Really like him in with the arm attachments. I agree though gotta have the no toes. Thats one of the wierdest and most recognizable traits of Plastic man. As for the upper torso, it may be a bit bulky but it works fine with the arm attachments on.

Big thanks for all the comments, guys. And great ideas for Plas. I'll definitely be revisiting him soon to address the toes and the paint on the legs.

Meanwhile, here's the latest addition to my baddies roster -- a swim buddy for Aquaman:

Robulus totally inspired this guy, specifically the head choice. Never in a million years would've considered a Pocket Heroes transplant if not for his awesome custom.

And here's a shot of him with his bestest pal, whom I went back and gave a clean-shaven head to:

What do you guys think?

Atrie looks perfect with the Duke head - in fact, when that Duke first came out, all I could think of was "Aquaman" - still have to update mine.

Really like how the Pocket Heroes Manta head looks on 1:18 figs. Been trying to think of a good head for one, myself - but the impracticality of the giant saucer-shaped helmet on BM always bothered me. Gotta track down some Pocket Heroes now...

Great work!
