Anne Margaret...perfect casting for a back-in-the-day Widow.

Nice job adapting what you liked of the MU figure. The integration was seamless.

Now that you say that, I see it too. It's the stare-into-them-forever eyes.

I have to admit that Kirstie Alley was way hot back in the day. Every time I watched Star Trek II I wanted to nibble on those ears...

Dude. Creepy.

Very nice looking figure, and a nice addition to your universe.

LOL. Hey D.

You'd probably know her best as Evilynn from "The Masters of the Universe" movie, the main gal from the movie "They Live", and the short lived wife that took a vicious shotgun blast in "Blind Fury".

She was even once cast as on of the Gagney and Lacey gals, but people flooded the network wanting her removed because they said she had the "eyes of the dead".

Unlike many of my contemporaries D, I am comfortable with them being past cougar, because I have long since left the range of the "DILF".
LOL.

I actually have never seen that movie. :(

Looking her up on imdb now. Looks like I've seen her The Emerald Forest, Leviathan, Lady In Waiting (hmmm, Shannon Whirry), Undercover, and The Man in the Iron Mask (1998)...

Back to the custom....

Ssssssmokin'! Great fig, and I love the write up.

Meg Foster was in the Classic Roddy Piper movie They Live! She also played Evil-Lyn in the live action He-Man movie. Peter Weller punched her out in Leviathan.

Thanks again fellas. And I can see the Meg foster comp you are making - but I'm sticking with my Anne Margaret.... :shifty:

Hope to get the chance to articulate the elbows soon and actually get a WIP off my desk. lol

Awesome job, Dennis. I can definitely see myself copying elements of this one. This is how the IM2 version should have looked, instead of the rather odd-looking figure we're getting.

Question: did you leave the plastic t-bar in place when you swapped the legs? And if so, is it holding up well? I always worry about putting Joe legs on the MU t-bar and often swap out the bar for a metal one just to be safe.

By the way - I'm 37 and I totally know who Meg Foster is. Blind Fury is one of my all-time favorite flicks. As is They Live.

You know there's a movie Widow coming out right? With the elbow swivels?

The head isn't that great though . . . Anyway, I like what you've done, nice figure man.

Dennis, excellent job as I've come to expect from you. I do see the Ann-Margaret/ young-Kirstie Alley references. Much better than the factory BW.

HH - yeah, I know it's coming, and I'll buy it up for sure, mostly as fodder though. I like the head from what I've seen just not as BW. Glad to see the fixed elbows on the IM2 figure, but won't she also have the bad IM2 hips? So I'd have to do more mods there than here.

Yeah, yeah, Dan, I know. lol. I actually recognized her, but I wouldn't have known her name. I made the young 'pup' excuse knowing full well it was a lame one. lol. I used to know every actor in every movie. But I'm running out of hard drive space in my brain, and old files are be written over. (EDIT: like for example files related to grammar)

Oh, on the hips - so far so good on the plastic. First time I ever tried the Joe fem lages on there it felt like it would snap. That was maybe using 25A LJ legs? But the ROC legs go on really smooth, and I've not seen any issue at all. Very sturdy. And not much of an issue in putting on and taking off either.

thanks Tigertank.

Finally got the chance to finish and take pics. Here is the new and improved fully articulated Black Widow. It really is inexcusable that the fems in the MU line don't have elbow swivels. If the males don't ok, but they have the bicep swivel. It's stoopid. Anyway, the pics:

Since the current elbows on the MU fig have the rivet/peg, it made this really easy. I basically took a Baroness elbow peg and half of the bicep. cut the MU fig at the bicep, and fused. Then I used the MU lower arm, and put the rivet thru the Baroness elbow peg. Anyway, it was easier than it sounds.

I know I could have split her open and used the full Baroness shoulder, but I hate doing that on the Ms. Marvel/BW base body. Also, I could have just drilled a hole in the bicep and used hot glue, but I wanted the elbow to be sturdy enough for real use.

The attack on the PIT ROC version is what I used. The fuse point wasn't completely flush. but I just layered some heavy glue in there until it dried evenly. If you don't mind splitting the MU figures open, it's easier to just use the baroness upper arm, shoulder included, cut the lower arm away from the elbow peg and replace with the MU lower arm and rivet.
