Thanks everyone for the compliments I really like this one too.
I tried to put a lot of thought into his gear and look.Since the solider himself is replaceable his gear needed to look like it could be replaced as needed. To keep this theme I tried to make the helmet and shield look like they were hand painted and well used.
I knew the leg wraps, helmet and shield were also key to the look. I wanted the viewer to look at the figure and see a natural progression from this one to the Ultimate WWII version ( which I now consider the correct look over the original tight fitting outfit look) So the jacket is similar but longer and the skull cap has the goggles seperate instead of attached.
The final touch was tilting the helmet just a little. I looked through a lot of pictures of soldiers for that time period and a majority of them had their helmets tilted. Along with the slight smirk of the face I think it completed the look nicely.

Yeah, this is really nice. Can't think of any way to make the actual fig better, but him riding a horse with similarly patriotic gear and bridle would be beyond awesome.
Can we expect Vietnam Cap? Revolutionary Cap? Would that guy be better named as 'Captain Colonies'? I hesitate to even contemplate a Civil War Cap.
AV I would have loved to add a horse but have none to use.
A for other Cap's I have plans for several... as parts present themselves.
The Revolutionary Cap will just be called The Captain. During the War of 1812 they add the America to the name.
There are two Captains for the Civil War each with the America attached. Their costumes will look like the armies they belong too but slightly different in their shades of blue.
Korean war cap will look almost exactly like WWII cap
Vietnam Cap.... well.... since there was a Cap and Bucky at that time ( Not Steve and Bucky) I'm going to approach it as though this cap and Bucky are more myth and legend with several soldiers deployed at the same time ( of all Nationalities) to promote the myth. They will be specially deployed by shield during fire fights and long range recon missions. Only to disappear after the mission or battle is over.
