Most cool. My only crit would be to slap some DullCote on them to take the shine off; but you could plausibly be going for the actual look of the old show as well as the characters.

As to heads, why not try for the originals? I don't own any of them, but I recall I did as a kid and I've since seen them in-hand only a few years back. Mego's sculpting back then was pretty dang good, all told. Take the heads off them fugly figs, drill them out, slap some paint on them and you're good.

/Man, somebody needs to dupe out that Bridge playset, stat!

Looking at Uhura and thought: Ysanne Isard/Deena Shan torso/arms/waist with different legs.

I like what you are doing with the Storm Shadow head and the POTC figure.

Is that Gary Mitchell?

That bbi head works a ton better for Kirk. I like the WIPs so far. You have to do the original series Kahn now too.

If you don't go buy a bag of them li'l fuzzy pom-poms for a buttload of Tribbles, this whole project is filled with more FAIL than Threshold.

I thought I would add, my NJC entries

Lieutenant Arex was an Edosian navigator who served aboard the USS Enterprise in 2269 and 2270. http://www.danhausertrek.com/AnimatedSeries/Arex.html This was a fun and most work as I had to split the waist on the 09 Trek figures so I could make the third leg, the arm was a bit of a cheat since I dremeled a hole in the chest and before the plastic cooled I placed the third arm in place and as it cooled it stuck and even turns, the neck is actually the Kirk head and the face is a Spiderman Movie Lizard head

Trelane http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Squire_of_Gothos

Image

Image

My first Trelane was using the original POTC - I saw the latest version of the figure an really liked the torso so much more, the down side was fixing the peg leg so I used my old Trelane's legs

Harry Mudd- I was so mad when my son lost the gold epaulets from the original POTC the Captain so I painted his shoulders

The Base was a ROC - Road Block and Slayer Head Mod

Image

Garth of Izard

Garth of Izar was a decorated, highly-regarded officer in the Federation Starfleet, who rose to rank of Fleet Captain in the course of his service through the mid-23rd century. His career dissolved in a dramatic descent into madness and attempted genocide, resulting in his commitment to the Elba II asylum for the criminally insane.

Love 'em!
Great to see some new additions. Arex is great, even if his third leg creeps me out a little. :shifty:
